Our Call to Missions in Vienna

1981 - 2003
We both responded to the grace of God in the Gospel during childhood.  God providentially began to develop a concern for the nations of the world in each of us.  As we studied the Word in community and traveled internationally, God impressed upon us the importance of involvement in cross-cultural, global missions.  By the time we graduated from university, we had both traveled the globe, and the seedlings of a global vision for God's glory among the nations had begun to sprout and mature.

2003 - 2005
We were both serving in missions in Central Asia, where we met at an international church, dated for about a year, were engaged, and returned to the States to be married in July 2005.  While serving in Central Asia, God greatly burdened our hearts to communicate the Gospel to the strategic people group among whom we were living.

2005 - 2009
With a desire to one day engage in theological education cross-culturally, Gregory studied for and received his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary near Boston.  His vision was to be a resource to the global church by offering Biblical instruction.  While providing leadership for a new missional partnership at our church in Boston, we led a vision trip to Central Asia in March 2009.  God's calling to re-engage in cross-cultural, international ministry was clear, and we began to seek how He might have us move forward after seminary.

2010
In June 2010, God directed us to take a huge step of faith in our search for a people group or community to serve, and we left our jobs in Boston to move in with family in Kansas.  A teaching position with Greater Europe Mission drew Gregory's attention, and the organization quickly connected us with the Austrian team who had been praying for a couple to engage in theological education and ministry to Central Asian immigrants.  Four months later, on November 4, 2010, we were appointed to serve with Greater Europe Mission in Vienna, Austria.

2010 - 2012
From November 2010 until March 2012, we sought God's leadership to develop a network of financial and prayer partners, and He enabled us to reach 100% of our monthly need just before our April 1 goal!

April 23, 2012 -- We moved to Vienna, Austria.
